A pyrromethene-boron complex according to an embodiment of the present invention is a compound represented by the following formula (1) and having a molecular weight of at least 1,000, wherein at least two of the R1 to R6 in the formula (1) are groups given by the following formula (2). Formula (1) (In the formula (1), X is C-R7 or N. R1 to R9, excluding those that are groups represented by the following formula (2), may be the same as or different from each other and are selected from a candidate group consisting of an alkyl group and so forth.) Formula (2) (In the formula (2), L1 is selected from a candidate group consisting of an oxygen atom and so forth. L2 is an alkylene group and so forth. When L2 is an alkylene group, a carbon atom in the alkylene group that is bonded to L1 is a secondary carbon or tertiary carbon. R101 is a cyano group and so forth. n is an integer from 0-5, and m is an integer from 1-5. Each of the m-number of -(L2-(R101)n's contains at least three cyclic structures.) |
