titleOfInvention | Friction material |
abstract | The purpose of the present invention is to provide a friction material which is used for disc brake pads of automobiles and the like, is obtained by molding a friction material composition of an NAO material, and can suppress brake vibration during high-temperature braking. In order to achieve the purpose, a friction material obtained by molding a friction material composition of an NAO material, the friction material composition including a binder, a fiber matrix, an organic friction adjuster, an inorganic friction adjuster, and a lubricant, but not including a copper component, wherein in the friction material composition used in the friction material, the binder is contained in an amount of 5-9 wt% with respect to the total amount of the friction material composition, a silicone rubber-modified phenolic resin is contained, as a portion of the binder, in an amount of 1-4 wt% with respect to the total amount of the friction material composition, a cashew dust is contained as an organic friction adjuster in an amount of 1-4 wt% with respect to the total amount of the friction material composition, a fused silica having an average particle diameter of 15-40 μm is contained as an inorganic f riction adjuster, in an amount of 0.5-3 wt% with respect to the total amount of the friction material composition, and a fused zirconium silicate beads having an average particle dimeter of 10-30 μm is contained, as an inorganic friction adjuster, in an amount of 0.1-2 wt% with respect to the total amount of the friction material composition. |
