The present invention provides a fragrance composition that is likeable and makes a person feel comfortable by using few fragrance compounds. A fragrance composition according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a component (A) made of aldehydes: 40.0-97.5 mass% inclusive, a component (B) composed of ketones: 1.0-20.0 mass% inclusive, and a component (C) made of fragrance compounds other than components (A) and (B): remainder. The aldehydes of component (A) are an essential component (A1) comprising nonanal and an optional component (A2) selected from the group consisting of decanal, heptanal, octanal, benzaldehyde, undecanal, hexanal, and combinations thereof. The ketones of component (B) are selected from the group consisting of 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-one, cyclohexanone, 1-phenylethanone, 2-decanone, 2-undecanone, and combinations thereof. The fragrance compounds of component (C) are selected from the group consisting of limonene, 1,8-cineol, menthol, 1-octanol, 3-hexyn-1-ol, 2-nonen-1-ol, dodecane, hexanoic acid, octanoic acid, nonanoic acid, 2(5H)-furanone, p-cymene, sotolon, and combinations thereof. |
