abstract | A cross-linked polymer particle production method comprising the step of crushing a cross-linked polymer gel having a structural unit derived from an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, wherein the cutting force, as obtained by the procedures of (1) to (6), is 110 N or greater but less than 450 N. (1) Obtain six test pieces, each shaped as a rectangular solid of 2 × 13 × 1.3 cm, from a cross-linked polymer gel. (2) Set a jig in a state in which the cutting blade of the jig is facing downward in the vertical direction. (3) Set a test piece downward in the vertical direction relative to the cutting blade in a state in which the 2 cm × 13 cm surface of the test piece is facing upward in the vertical direction. (4) Push the cutting blade into the test piece in the vertical direction and measure the load applied to the jig. (5) For each of the six test pieces, acquire the load at the peak top of the peak observed when cutting the test piece in a load-displacement curve describing the load versus the displacement of the jig. (6) Acquire the mean value of the loads at the peak tops for the six test pieces as the cutting force. |
