The present invention relates to the addition of inorganic substances, in the form of a stable compound in microparticles, for improving the PET resin conversion process. The present invention also relates to a chemical microparticle composition which contains a blend of substances containing calcium and zinc, or cadmium and barium, and is capable of neutralizing the PVC, up until a limit of 2000 ppm, during the PET flake conversion phase, and of sequestering the chlorine formed by degradation of the PVC within the reaction medium and protecting the PET molecules during this phase. |
