The present invention relates to a composition and a method for a polymeric device with simvastatin for the treatment of bone fractures for tissue engineering. This device is made of polymer blends provided with mechanical, structural and hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties suited to biological fluid interaction. The invention is intended to promote the healing of fractures through bone formation, enhancing osteoblast activity, by containing signaling cells to stimulate, form and regenerate bone tissue. |
