abstract | The purpose of the present invention is to provide a light source that can be used for CRS measurement in all wavenumber bands of a fingerprint region. Disclosed is a light source used in a coherent Raman scattering (CRS) spectroscopy device or a CRS microscope, the light source comprising: a chromium-doped forsterite laser (CrFL); a variable delay optical path that divides optical pulses from the CrFL in terms of power and delays one of the divided optical pulses; a highly nonlinear waveguide on which the other of the optical pulses is incident; a first wavelength filter that is connected to an output of the highly nonlinear waveguide; an ytterbium-doped glass fiber optical amplifier (YbFA) that is connected to an output of the wavelength filter; and a second wavelength filter that is connected to an output of the YbFA. The light source has: a single optical path mode wherein two wavelength bands corresponding to wavenumbers of Raman scattering to be measured are selected from an output of the variable delay optical path; and a dual optical path mode wherein the two wavelength bands are selected respectively from an output of the variable delay optical path and an output of the second wavelength filter by temporally synchronizing the same. |
