abstract The invention concerns an installation (3) adapted to produce at least one LNG stream (5) from at least one natural gas stream (7), comprising: - at least one refrigerating cycle (11) comprising at least one expansion turbine (27), the refrigerating cycle using at least one first refrigerant fluid (13) and being configured to cool the natural gas stream by exchanging heat with the first refrigerant fluid; and - a refrigeration unit (15) comprising at least one absorption refrigerating machine (33) using a second refrigerant fluid and an absorbent adapted to absorb the second refrigerant fluid, the refrigeration unit being adapted to receive at least one fluid (17) to be cooled and to produce a cooled fluid (19). The second refrigerant fluid comprises methanol, and the absorbent comprises a mixture of lithium bromide and zinc bromide, or comprises an ionic liquid. The invention also concerns a corresponding method and a floating support integrating such an installation.
