titleOfInvention Method, sensor and system for determining a dielectric property of a sample
abstract A method and device for determining a dielectric property of a sample is provided. Electromagnetic signals are generated by an oscillator circuit, whereby the electromagnetic signals include at least a first electromagnetic signal of a first frequency. A device for physically coupling with the sample which is integrated within the oscillator circuit oscillates according to the electromagnetic signals, and frequencies of the electromagnetic signals output by the oscillator circuit are measured. In response to the sample physically coupling with the sensor, a shift in the measured frequency of the first electromagnetic signal output by the oscillator circuit is determined and a dielectric property of the sample is calculated based on the shift in the measured frequency of the first electromagnetic signal output by the oscillator circuit.
