abstract The invention relates to a method and a device for regenerating a solvent of cellulose in a process for producing shaped cellulose bodies, the method comprising the steps of: starting a continuous process for producing solid shaped cellulose bodies from a cellulose solution which comprises the steps of: i) providing a cellulose solution from dissolved cellulose and a cellulose solvent and preferably a non-solvent, particularly preferably water; ii) shaping the cellulose solution into a desired geometric shape; iii) solidifying the shaped cellulose solution to form shaped cellulose bodies in a coagulation liquid; and iv) washing the shaped cellulose bodies, with shaped-body waste of the cellulose solution in an undesired form accumulating at the start of and/or during the continuous process; collecting the shaped body waste in the undesired form; comminuting the shaped body waste; and extracting solvent from the comminuted shaped body waste.
