abstract This application provides an integrated 3D bioprinted human disease in a dish model or system that serves the purpose to study and better predict the outcome of test drugs and drug combinations for human diseases and conditions. The model system provided herein is especially useful for simultaneous analyses of various parameters including drug metabolism, efficacy and safety, in conditions that do not have optimal animal models for testing novel drugs. The invention further establishes a unique system to design specific drugs and test them thus providing a platform for personalized medicine.
