abstract | A flame-retardant semi-aromatic polyamide, derived from the following monomers: diacid monomer A: A1 is terephthalic acid or terephthalic acid and another diacid, and the terephthalic acid accounts for 50-100 mol% of A1, and A2 is a phosphorus-based flame-retardant monomer having a diacid functional group and containing an aromatic ring structure, A1+A2 = 100 mol%, A1 = 90-99 mol%, and A2 = 1-10 mol%; and diamine monomer B: one or more of the diamine monomers containing 4-36 carbon atoms. By means of copolymerising the phosphorus-based flame-retardant monomer having a diacid functional group and containing an aromatic ring structure in a semi-aromatic polyamide segment by means of an in-situ polymerisation method, excellent flame retardancy and mechanical properties and high whiteness can be obtained, and yellowing will not easily occur in high-temperature conditions. In addition, the preparation method uses a gradient heating method, and the in-situ copolymerisation method synthesises semi-aromatic polyamide with intrinsic flame-retardant properties, without the need to separately synthesise flame-retardant precursors, such that the operating steps are simple and production costs are reduced. |
