Disclosed are a catalyst for preparing vinyl chloride by cracking 1,2-dichloroethane and preparation and regeneration methods therefor. The catalyst for preparing vinyl chloride by cracking 1,2-dichloroethane comprises a carrier and a nitrogen-containing carbon material as an active component of the catalyst, wherein the nitrogen-containing carbon material is loaded on the carrier. The method for preparing the catalyst comprises loading an organic substance onto an inorganic porous carrier, and then pyrolyzing and subjecting same to a carbonization-nitridation process in a nitrogen-containing compound atmosphere. The method for regenerating the catalyst comprises roasting the catalyst, deactivated by carbon deposition, in an oxidative atmosphere, so as to remove all carbonaceous parts from the surface thereof, and then further repeating the process for preparing the catalyst. Compared to the existing thermal cracking technologies, the catalyst can reduce the reaction temperature, significantly reduce the energy consumption, reduce the production cost, and improve the selectivity and conversion rate; and the catalyst is also cheap and renewable and has a long service life. |
