titleOfInvention | Thermoplastic elastomer composition as adhesive system for vulcanized rubber based on cross-linked rubber |
abstract | The invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer which comprises an ethylene-α-olefin block copolymer, a double bond-containing polymer with a molar proportion of double bonds ranging from 5 to 100 mol.%, based on the number of moles of all of the monomer units of the double bond-containing polymer used for the polymerization, and a non-elastomer polyolefin. The thermoplastic elastomer according to the invention is advantageous in that the elastomer can be connected to a vulcanized rubber based on cross-linked diene rubber mixtures, cross-linked ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM), cross-linked styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), cross-linked natural rubber (NR), cross-linked butyl rubber (IIR), recycled vulcanized rubber, or a mixture thereof (referred to below only as "vulcanized rubber" for the sake of simplicity). In this manner, a composite material can be produced from the thermoplastic elastomer according to the invention and the vulcanized rubber. A flat covering can be produced therefrom, which can be used as a fall protection covering on playgrounds and sports areas for example. |
