abstract Provided are: a flame retardant anti-termite resin composition in which a sheath that exhibits excellent flame retardancy and anti-termite properties can be formed from a single layer and which is suitable for forming a sheath by means of extrusion; a power cable having a sheath formed using this resin composition as a raw material; and a method for producing and a method for laying the power cable. This flame retardant anti-termite resin composition contains a base resin having a solubility parameter of 7.1-11.6, a compound having an isocyanurate structure and a boron-containing compound. The content of the compound having an isocyanurate structure is 0.05-10 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin. The content of the boron-containing compound is 10-55 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the base resin. This flame retardant anti-termite resin composition is preferably used in a raw material of a sheath 13 that forms the outermost layer of a power cable 1.
