abstract The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a reagent which, in an immunoassay method using a reagent containing latex particles, enables the reduction in the adhesion of stains in a reaction cell by a technique that utilizes an existing reaction cell and does not affect the constitution of the reagent; and an immunoassay method using the reagent. Provided is an immunoassay reagent containing latex particles, the immunoassay reagent being characterized in that each of the latex particles contains a halogen atom. Also provided is an immunoassay method comprising the step of bringing latex particles into contact with a sample in a reaction cell, the immunoassay method being characterized in that each of the latex particles contains a halogen atom.
