abstract | Provided are a method and apparatus for determining a TBS for improving a signal transmission rate of a system. The method for determining a TBS is: according to an MCS corresponding to a broadcast channel and a frequency domain resource occupied by the broadcast channel, determining a corresponding TBS through any one of the following methods: determining a TBS serial number according to the serial number of the MCS and a first table, determining a first intermediate variable according to the TBS serial number, the frequency domain resource and a second table, and determining a TBS according to the first intermediate variable and a third table, wherein the third table comprises a correlation between the TBS and the first intermediate variable, and the third table corresponds to a TBS table with the number of layers mapped by a transport block being greater than one, and the number of layers mapped by the transport block borne by the broadcast channel is one; determining a second intermediate variable according to the determined TBS serial number, the frequency domain resource and the second table, and determining a TBS according to the second intermediate variable and a spreading factor, wherein the spreading factor is greater than one; or determining the number of REs according to the frequency domain resource, and determining a TBS according to the number of REs and the serial number of the MCS. |
