abstract A plant substance extracted from the roots of Siberian statice (Limonium gmelinii) of the genus Limonium Mill of the leadwort family (Plumbaginaceae) improves cerebral blood flow and oxygen and glucose supply to the brain, enables improved cognitive function and slows the progression of dementia. Proposed is the use of said plant substance in an intragastric dose of 200 mg/kg as an agent having neuroprotective activity.
