titleOfInvention Biological sample separation implement
abstract Provided is a biological sample separation implement that can stably separate a biological sample into prescribed constituents. The biological sample separation implement is provided with+ an accommodation implement (1) that accommodates a collected biological sample; a filter (128) that filters out prescribed constituents in the collected biological sample; and a retaining implement (100) that can be inserted into the accommodation implement (1) and accommodates the prescribed constituents filtered out. At the outer periphery of the retaining implement (100), at the front end thereof with respect to the direction of insertion of the retaining implement, a seal member (130) is provided that can move within the accommodation implement (1) in a state of liquid-tight contact with an inner wall of the accommodation implement (1); the filter (128) is retained in the retaining implement (100) by a holder (140) that forms a biological sample inflow port (142) for inflow to the filter (128); and, in a cross-sectional view of the filter (128) and the retaining implement (100), the seal member (128) is located opposite the direction of insertion, from a virtual line (148) which extends from an end section of the filter (128) and contacts an opposing front-end-side end section (146A) across the center of the filter (128).
