titleOfInvention | Method of processing acid sludge |
abstract | The invention relates to the field of petrochemistry, in particular to the treatment of acid sludges. A method of processing acid sludge consists in applying to the surface of microporous sedimentary amorphous silica granules one or more layers consisting of acid sludge, micronized material containing calcium oxide, and micronized microporous sedimentary amorphous silica. Moreover, to apply the acid sludge to the surface of the granules, its kinematic viscosity is reduced below 110 cSt by heating and/or diluting. Diatomaceous earth, silica clay, tripoli, etc. may be used as the microporous amorphous silica, while lime, slaked lime, calcareous fly ash from utility boilers, etc. may be used as the material containing calcium oxide. The technical result achieved in implementing the invention consists in improving the transportability characteristics of the granulated material (increasing granule strength, preventing clumping, decreasing the natural angle of repose) as well as improving the process characteristics of the granulated material (raising the pH of the aqueous extract to neutral, decreasing emissions of volatile substances, increasing the melting point). |
