abstract | Provided is a method that uses a macrocyclic compound as a starting material and produces an α – allylated cycloalkanone. The method produces an α – allylated cycloalkanone indicated by general formula (IV) and includes a step in which a compound indicated by general formula (I) and/or general formula (II) and a compound indicated by general formula (III) are reacted, in the presence of an acid catalyst, and an α – allylated cycloalkanone indicated by general formula (IV) is obtained. The acid catalyst includes an acid catalyst comprising an ammonium cation and an anion. [In the formulas, R1, R2, and R3 are the same or different and are C1–4 alkyl groups, the group - A 1- (the preceding bond indicating a bond to a C1 carbon atom and the following bond indicating a bond to a C2 carbon atom) is a C4–20 alkylene group that may include any hetero atom and may be substituted, and R4 is a hydrogen atom or a C1–4 alkyl group.] |
