Provided is a lithium primary battery comprising a battery case, an electrode group housed in the battery case, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte includes a non-aqueous solvent, a solute, and an additive, the electrode group has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator disposed therebetween, the negative electrode has a metal lithium or lithium alloy foil, and has a shape having a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, a long tape is attached along the longitudinal direction on at least one main surface of the negative electrode, the tape has a resin substrate and an adhesive layer, and has a width of 0.5-3 mm, and the additive includes a phosphorus compound having a POn structure having phosphorus atoms and n oxygen atoms bonded to the phosphorus atoms, where n is 3 or 4. |
