In one aspect, the method includes actions of: generating, by an access node, a PRACH configuration information element (IE) that includes one or more PRACH configuration parameters, wherein the one or more PRACH configuration parameters include SRS configuration information, encoding, by the access node, the PRACH configuration IE for transmission to a UE, and causing, by the access node of the RAN, an antenna to transmit the encoded PRACH configuration IE to the UE. |
