abstract |
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a binder composition for secondary batteries, which is capable of forming a functional layer that exhibits excellent adhesion, and which enables a secondary battery to exhibit excellent cycle characteristics. A binder composition according to the present invention contains a polymer A, a polymer B and a solvent. With respect to the polymer A, the total of the content ratios of a monomer unit having a hydroxyl group and a monomer unit having an amide group is from 50% by mass to 90% by mass (inclusive), while the content ratio of a monomer unit having a carboxylic acid group is from 10% by mass to 50% by mass (inclusive). With respect to the polymer B, the content ratio of a monomer unit having two carboxylic acid groups is from 2% by mass to 5% by mass (inclusive), the content ratio of an aromatic vinyl monomer unit is from 15% by mass to 88% by mass (inclusive), and the content ratio of an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer unit is from 10% by mass to 80% by mass (inclusive). |
