titleOfInvention Apparatus for analysis and management of single nucleotide polymorphisms in individual
abstract A single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) is a common mutation of a single nucleotide among various DNA bases at a specific position in a chromosome. It is estimated that approximately 3 million SNPs exist in the human genome, and since each of the SNPs only differs in terms of a single base and the risk of developing disease and susceptibility to certain drugs vary depending on each SNP, above all else, analyzing a large number of SNPs accurately is extremely important. The present invention relates to an algorithm for analyzing an individual's SNPs, and a system and apparatus implementing same, wherein in analyzing the individual's SNPs, the system implementing the algorithm of the present invention is operated in a single step from the registration of a testing request to the printing of a result sheet, and manages the probes for each SNP systematically, and thus is expected to be widely used in the fields of health diagnostics and medicine.
