abstract The present invention pertains to a method for producing a recombinant protein, said method comprising: a proliferation reduction step for reducing the cell proliferation of recombinant cells expressing the recombinant protein; and a production step for culturing the recombinant cells, said recombinant cells being in the state where the cell proliferation is reduced, in a protein-producing medium to thereby produce the recombinant protein, wherein, in the proliferation reduction step, the cell proliferation of the recombinant cells is reduced by using, as the recombinant cells, recombinant cells containing at least one modified morphogenesis regulator.
