The purpose of the present invention is to provide a binder composition for nonaqueous secondary battery electrodes, which enables the preparation of a slurry composition that is able to be used in high-speed coating and high-speed pressing, and which enables the formation of a nonaqueous secondary battery electrode that enables a nonaqueous secondary battery to exhibit excellent low-temperature cycle characteristics. A binder composition according to the present invention contains water and polymer particles which are formed of a polymer that has a block region which is composed of an aromatic vinyl monomer unit; and the volume average particle diameter of the polymer particles is 0.08 μm or more but less than 0.6 μm. |
