abstract In this gas analysis system 1, electrolyte components trapped in a filter 19 are discharged by heating the filter 19 and passing a maintenance gas through the filter 19 while in a state in which a first valve 11 and a second valve 12 have been operated to switch to a suspended state in which the filter 19 does not communicate with an analysis column 17. Thus, maintenance of the filter 19 can be performed by merely switching the flow path with the first valve 11 and the second valve 12 and by heating the filter 19 and supplying the maintenance gas to the filter 19. Also, maintenance of the filter 19 can be performed without moving the filter 19. As a result, the work performed by a user to maintain the filter 19 can be simplified.
