abstract | The present invention relates to: [1] an aqueous ink for inkjet printing that is for printing on a printing medium with low liquid absorption, that contains a pigment, a polymer dispersant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, in which the water-soluble organic solvent includes a diethylene glycol monoisopropyl ether (S1) and one or more solvents (S2) selected from among alkanediols having 4-6 carbon atoms, 1,3-propanediol, and cyclic amide compounds, and in which the content of the diethylene glycol monoisopropyl ether (S1) in the water-soluble organic solvent is 40-95 mass%; and [2] an inkjet printing method in which the ink is used to perform printing on a printing medium with low liquid absorption. This aqueous ink for inkjet printing makes it possible to obtain a printed article having excellent scratch resistance. |
