abstract | The present invention relates to [1] a water-based ink for ink-jet printing on lowly liquid-absorbing print media which comprises a pigment, a polymeric dispersant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, wherein the water-soluble organic solvent comprises triethylene glycol monobutyl ether (S1) and at least one solvent (S2) selected from among alkanediols having 4-6 carbon atoms, 1,3-propanediol, and cyclic amide compounds, the content of solvent (S1) in the water-soluble organic solvent being 55-95 mass%, and [2] an ink-jet printing method which comprises using the ink [1] to conduct printing on a lowly liquid-absorbing print medium. The water-based ink for ink-jet printing of the present invention has excellent delivery stability and can give printed matter having excellent image clearness. |
