abstract The invention relates to a device for correcting sleep bruxism by using a system for electrical stimulation of the mental nerve, which is portable and comprises the following components: (1) an occlusal splint containing an intrabuccal electronic neurostimulator formed by at least four capacitive pressure sensors for detecting interdental pressure, a microcontroller unit (MCU) that allows pressure signal data to be acquired and stimulation to be controlled by means of a pre-programmed algorithm, a power system for powering the microcontroller, a stimulus generator, and stimulation electrodes; and (2) an external base station comprising a power source for providing electricity to the neurostimulator by means of an inductive link and a wireless communication system with an interface on a computer for configuration and reporting.
