abstract | Provided, for preventing a reduction in the flavor of a flavoring oil, are: a method for suppressing a reduction in the flavor of a flavoring oil; an agent for suppressing a reduction in the flavor of a flavoring oil; a production method for a flavoring oil configured such that a reduction in flavor is suppressed; and a production method for a food product in which said flavoring oil is used. This method for suppressing a reduction in the flavor of a flavoring oil includes a step for including polydimethylsiloxane in a flavoring oil. This agent for suppressing a reduction in the flavor of a flavoring oil includes polydimethylsiloxane as an effective component. This production method for a flavoring oil configured such that a reduction in flavor is suppressed, includes a step for adding polydimethylsiloxane to the flavoring oil in the amount of 1×10-5-1×10-2 mass%. The flavoring oil is preferably a green onion flavored oil, a garlic flavored oil, or a butter flavored oil. |
