An astringency reducing agent that comprises a cold ethanol precipitate of a pear juice as an active ingredient. A method for producing an astringency reducing agent, said method comprising: allowing a liquid mixture containing a pear juice and ethanol to stand at a low temperature to form a precipitate; and collecting the precipitate thus obtained.
