The invention relates to a device (1) for preventing episodes of apnoea in infants, which simulates a breathing pattern suitable for synchronising the infant's breathing and which is provided as a direct tactile stimulus, placed in contact with the infant's back during sleep; it comprises a means for generating the breathing pattern (2), which emits air pulses that reach the infant through transmission means that comprise a flexible tube (3) that carries the air to an inflatable/deflatable chamber (4). |
