Provided is an electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte BATTERY, which enables hydrogen sulfide gas, which is generated inside a battery for any reason, to be trapped inside the electrode and be prevented from leaking out of the battery. The electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte BATTERY is a lithium ion battery electrode in which a coating material having a silanol group is present at least on the surface of an active material layer, wherein the active material layer contains a sulfur-based material and a resin-based binder, the sulfur-based material is an active material capable of alloying with lithium metal or an active material capable of intercalating lithium ions, and the coating material having a silanol group is a silicate containing a siloxane bond in the components thereof, or a silica fine particle aggregate containing a siloxane bond in the components thereof. |
