abstract | Provided is a non-combustion heated smoking article (20) capable of sufficiently cooling an aerosol vaporized component without losing aroma or taste. This non-combustion heated smoking article comprises: a tobacco-containing segment (1) including tobacco and an aerosol-generating base material; a cylindrical cooling segment (3) having a perforation (9) on the perimeter thereof; and a filter segment (5). The non-combustion heated smoking article has an increase in mass in the filter segment of 4.0–7.9 mg after smoking, compared to prior to smoking, when up to 5 puffs have been taken on the basis of the Health Canada Intense (HCI) smoking method, said smoking: occurring with the perforation closed; occurring with the tobacco-containing segment being heated using a temperature profile listed below; and commencing 40 seconds after said heating has commenced. Temperature profile: temperature held at 230°C for 50 s, at 200°C for 130 s, and then at 170°C thereafter. |
