The present invention concerns the modification of the rheology of an aqueous or non-aqueous liquid medium, by polymers in the form of specific particles, obtained by grinding (micronisation) of a porous macrogel, itself prepared according to a method comprising a radical polymerisation step in which, in the presence of pore-forming agents, the following are reacted: - monomers containing monomers carrying at least two ethylenic unsaturations, typically in association with monomers carrying a single ethylenic unsaturation; - a polymerisation initiator; and - optionally, a polymerisation control agent. The invention concerns, in particular, the use of these polymer particles in order to keep other particles in suspension within the liquid medium, as well as the stabilised suspensions thus obtained. |
