titleOfInvention Electrode substrate
abstract An electrode substrate (1) is used in biopolymer identification. The electrode substrate (1) comprises: an insulative substrate layer (20) having a fluid path (50) that is recessed from the top surface; a metal layer (30) that is disposed on the substrate layer (20); and a cover (40) that is flexible and insulative. The metal layer (30) has an electrode (33) that is overlapped in the vertical direction with a portion of the fluid path (50). The cover (40) covers the top of the fluid path and deforms in accordance with deformation of the substrate layer (20). Due to this configuration, mixing of foreign matter into a fluid filled in the fluid path (50) is suppressed, and the contact surface area between the fluid in the fluid path (50) and an external space can be reduced, and thus an electric current can be measured by the electrode in a stable environment.
