titleOfInvention Occupant monitoring system for a vehicle
abstract The invention relates to an occupant monitoring system for a vehicle comprising at least one autonomous driving function (AF1, AF2), comprising at least one sensor system (5) for capturing a current driving state of the vehicle, an interior sensor system (20) for capturing an interior state and at least one evaluation control unit (10). Here, the interior sensor system (20) comprises a plurality of ultrasonic sensors (US1, US2) and/or microphones (M1, M2), which are disposed in the vehicle interior in distributed fashion, wherein the evaluation control unit (10) receives and processes raw signals from the ultrasonic sensors (US1, US2) and/or the microphones (M1, M2), wherein the evaluation control unit (10) ascertains respiratory noises of the occupants, which have characteristic resonant frequencies, on the basis of the raw signals of the ultrasonic sensors (US1, US2) and/or the microphones (M1, M2).
