abstract Provided is an absorbent article capable of improving absorbency while improving texture. An absorbent article (1) has, layered in the stated order in the thickness direction, a front surface sheet (2), an auxiliary sheet (5), an absorbent body (4), a rear surface sheet (3), and a fixing section (7). The width direction dimension of the front surface sheet is less than the width direction dimension of the auxiliary sheet. The front surface sheet has a central region (CA) that is located in the center thereof in the width direction, and a pair of edge regions (EA, EA) that are adjacent to the central region on both sides thereof in the width direction. The central region is bonded to the auxiliary sheet, and at least a portion of the pair of edge regions is not bonded to the auxiliary sheet. The central region of the front surface sheet has a plurality of pores (15).
