abstract |
In this invention, a first substance composing at least the surface of a capturing board (61) disposed in a classifier is made to be different from the component materials of a second substance included in brake wear powder to be measured. A material suitable for plating, such as nickel, chrome, or cobalt, is used as the first substance. A substrate (61a) is used to ensure strength, and a thin film (61b) is formed on the surface of the substrate through plating. The thin film (61b) is made to be thick enough to reduce the influence of the substance of the substrate (61a) during observation using a scanning electron microscope. The surface of the capturing board is observed after the roughness of the same has been mirror polished away and the positions of captured wear powder have been aligned thereon. The hood pressure of a brake testing device is controlled such that dust and dirt other than the wear powder is not collected. |
