A dialkyl peroxide including a thioxanthone group, characterized by being represented by general formula (1) (wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 each independently represent a methyl or ethyl group; R 5 represents a C 1-6 alkyl group or a phenyl group; the R 6 moieties are independent substituents and R 6 represents a C 1-4 alkyl group, a C 1-4 alkoxy group, or a chlorine atom; and n is an integer of 0-2). The dialkyl peroxide has both the property of inducing photopolymerization by efficiently absorbing light having a wavelength of, for example, 365 nm, emitted from a lamp, e.g., a high-pressure mercury lamp or an LED lamp, and thereby generating a radical and the property of inducing thermopolymerization by thermally generating a radical. |
