titleOfInvention | Wavelength conversion member and white-light-emitting device using same |
abstract | This wavelength conversion member (10) converts the wavelength of a laser beam (L). The wavelength conversion member is provided with: a substrate (1) that exhibits reflectivity for a laser beam; and a fluorescent material layer (2) which comprises a fluorescent material capable of converting a laser beam into light having a longer wavelength than the laser beam and which is formed on the substrate. The fluorescent material layer has a plurality of recesses (3) which are formed in a surface on the side to be irradiated with the laser beam and which have a depth of 50-80% of the film thickness of said fluorescent material layer and an opening width of at least 50 μm. In addition, respective adjacent recesses are arranged so as to be spaced away from each other by an interval smaller than the spot diameter of the laser beam with which the surface of the fluorescent material layer has been irradiated. The white-light-emitting device (100) is provided with: a laser light source (20) for emitting a laser beam; and the wavelength conversion member. |
