abstract | The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a polymer compound containing a sufficiently reduced amount of trace metals. Provided is a method for producing a polymer compound B containing at least one among structural units represented by formulae (2-1) to (2-4) by purifying a polymer compound A containing at least one among structural units represented by formulae (2-1) to (2-4), wherein the purification process comprises: a step for bringing at least three different adsorbents selected from the group consisting of graphite, carbon black, molecular sieve, silica gel, magnesium silicate, diatomite, zeolite, alumina, activated carbon, acid white clay, and activated white clay into contact with a solution containing the polymer compound A and an organic solvent; and a step for removing the adsorbents and/or the organic solvent from a mixed solution containing the polymer compound A, the adsorbents, and the organic solvent, wherein at least one among the adsorbents is alumina or magnesium silicate [the structural units represented by formulae (2-1) to (2-4) are as described in the description]. |
