abstract | The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for illuminating a sample, the apparatus (1) comprising: a first (11) and a second (2) light source; an optical waveguide having a first and a second end; a coupling device (9) for light; and a sample holding position, wherein: the first light source (11) is located at a first distance from the sample holding position; the second light source (2) is located at a second distance from the sample holding position; light from the first light source (11) illuminates a sample located in the sample holding position; light from the second light source (2) is coupled into the first end of the optical waveguide and by means of the optical waveguide is guided to a third distance from the sample holding position; the third distance is smaller than the second distance; the first distance is smaller than the second distance; the light from the first (11) and the light from the second (2) light source is combined by means of the coupling device (9); and the coupling device (9) is located between the second end of the optical waveguide and the sample holding position. |
