Provided is a thermosetting resin composition that makes it possible to obtain a cured product that maintains a substantially low dielectric constant but also has a substantially low dielectric loss tangent, even for high-speed, high-frequency signals. Specifically provided are: a phenol compound that has a vinylbenzyloxy group; a raw material composition that contains the phenol compound and is for producing an active ester resin; an active ester resin that contains a vinylbenzyloxy structure and is formed using the raw material composition; an active ester resin that has a vinylbenzyloxy structure at either end; and a thermosetting resin composition that contains an active ester resin and a curing agent. |
