abstract An image signal processing unit (110) receives, as an input image, a mosaic image in which pixel blocks which are each composed of a plurality of pixels of the same color and in each of which one lens (40) is commonly disposed are arrayed. The image signal processing unit, on the basis of pixel signals of a predetermined color of pixels included in the input image, subjects the entire surface of the input image to an interpolation process to generate a first image signal. The image signal processing unit, on the basis of the input image, generates a second image signal that includes a difference based on the relative position of a pixel of interest to the lens, and that has a lower resolution than the first image signal. The image signal processing unit, on the basis of a component obtained by subtracting the second image signal from the first image signal, generates a converted pixel of which the position after conversion corresponds to the position of the pixel of interest.
