abstract |
This light control device is provided with: a first transparent covering base material which has a first bonding surface; a second transparent covering base material which has a second bonding surface; and a light control sheet which is positioned between the first bonding surface and the second bonding surface. The light control sheet comprises a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer and a liquid crystal layer. An end face of the first electrode layer, an end face of the second electrode layer and an end face of the liquid crystal layer constitute a sheet end face. This light control device is additionally provided with a transparent adhesive layer which bonds the first bonding surface and the second bonding surface to each other at the periphery of the light control sheet, while covering the sheet end face; and the water absorption of the transparent adhesive layer as determined in accordance with the method A of JIS K 7209 (2000) is 2% or less. |
