abstract | Disclosed is a process for preparing a resorcinol formaldehyde resin with a high adhesive strength. The process comprises preparing a resin by using resorcinol and formaldehyde as raw materials and ethylvinyl benzene as a modifying agent under the action of a composite acidic catalyst, and the process steps are S1: a melting treatment; S2: an addition-condensation reaction; S3: a neutralizing treatment; S4: distillation; and S5: pelleting, wherein the weight ratio of formaldehyde : resorcinol : ethylvinyl benzene : the composite acidic catalyst is ensured to be 20-30 : 55-65 : 25-30 : 3-5 during the addition-condensation reaction, the ratio reduces the amount of free resorcinol, and the composite acidic catalyst has a high acid strength and a high catalytic activity. |
