abstract The invention relates to a planting apparatus (101), comprising - a water basin (102) having a base (103) and a cladding (104) for receiving and providing water; - a water overflow system (105) for setting a water level in the water basin such that no more than 9/10 of the water basin is filled with water; - a cultivation pot (107) for receiving substrate and a plant (108), wherein the cultivation pot comprises at least a base (109) and a cladding (110), wherein the cladding and/or base is perforated at least in some places; - a covering (114), which is mounted on or in the water basin (102) such that in the interior of the water basin (102) an atmospheric region (115) is formed; wherein - a mounting device (116), which fastens the cultivation pot (107) to the cladding (104) of the water basin (102) and/or supports the cultivation pot with respect to the base (103) of the water basin (102) such that the base (109) of the cultivation pot (107) is spaced clearly, more particularly at least 3 cm, from the base (103) of the water basin (102).
